Queen Elizabeth National Park, in western Uganda, is one of East Africa’s most diverse and scenic protected areas. Stretching from the Rwenzori Mountains to the shores of Lake Edward, the park encompasses savannah, wetlands, and dense forests, making it a sanctuary for an incredible array of wildlife.

A series of gates surrounds the two centers of ancient, medieval Fez (sometimes spelled Fes). The principal axes link the center to the gates and a street surrounds the heart of the old city. The Kairouan quarter, which is longer, is crossed by an artery. Narrow, tortuous pedestrian streets, covered passages, stairs and numerous dead-ends make up the dense layout with few urban squares.

Nevis, the smaller of the two islands in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, is often described as the more tranquil and unspoiled counterpart to its sister island. Dominated by the graceful silhouette of Nevis Peak, a dormant volcano rising to 985 meters, the island is ringed by golden beaches and lush hillsides.
