Santarém is a city in central Brazil, located where the Tapajós River meets the Amazon. Its position at this confluence has made it a hub of riverine trade and cultural exchange for centuries, blending Indigenous traditions with Portuguese colonial influence.

High in the Khumbu region, Lobuche sits in a stark alpine setting along the trail toward Mount Everest. Surrounded by rocky terrain and glacial formations, the village stands close to the Khumbu Glacier, where the landscape shifts into shades of gray, white, and deep blue. Located along the British Columbia coast, it is the last northern road access to the coast and the a ferry port for the BC ferry system.
