Queenstown
This beautiful resort town has a little something for everyone! Whether you are into skiing and snowboarding, jet boating, whitewater rafting, bungy jumping, or mountain biking there is no end to the year around adventure sports you can take advantage of. If you love wine, Queenstown lies close to the center of a small wine producing region, including The Two Paddocks vineyard which is owned by actor Sam Neill.
Anuradhapura
Anuradhapura, located in Sri Lanka’s North Central Province, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It served as the island’s capital for more than a millennium, beginning in the 4th century BCE. Today, its vast archaeological complex spans several square kilometers and includes some of South Asia’s most significant Buddhist monuments.
Inveraray
Inveraray, a small town on the western shore of Loch Fyne in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, offers visitors a glimpse into 18th-century planning and Highland heritage. Built largely in the mid-1700s under the direction of the 3rd Duke of Argyll, the town features Georgian architecture, wide streets, and an unusual level of symmetry for a rural Scottish settlement. The main street, lined with whitewashed buildings, leads down to the loch’s edge, where fishing boats and leisure vessels come and go.
Cartagena
Southeast Spain's seaport of Cartagena is a large naval base on the Mediterranean coast. The city was founded in 220 B.C. and boasts Roman ruins, mosaics and murals.
